Access to Namur

The University of Namur is located in the heart of Namur city.

By plane

Brussels Airport Zaventem (BRU) is Belgium’s main international airport and is connected to numerous international destinations around the world.

To reach Namur from Brussels Airport Zaventem (BRU) using public transport: 
  • From the airport’s train station, take a direct train to Namur. Tickets: SNCB Train Tickets

Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL) is connected to many destinations across Europe and the Middle East.

To reach Namur from Brussels South Charleroi Airport (CRL) using public transport:
  • Step 1 : Take the TEC Airport Bus (line A) from the airport to Charleroi-Sud train station. Tickets: TEC Bus Tickets
  • Step 2 : From Charleroi-Sud, take a train to Namur (approx. 30 minutes). Tickets: SNCB Train Tickets

Separate tickets are needed for the bus and train. Total travel time is around 1 hour.

The rail is a very good mode to access the University and the city center.

By car

Namur is at the crossroads of the E411 (Brussels-Luxembourg) and E42 (Liège-Mons) motorways. The UNamur visitor car park is located rue Henri Lemaître and is accessible by means of an access sticker (to be requested from the symposium organizer).
